TECO Americas Presents “Improving Safety by Use of Thermal Activated Shut-Offs (TAS) and Excess Flow Valves (EFVs) in Customer Metering Applications”

AGA Operations Conference Breakout Session Presentation

TECO Americas, provider of innovative gas safety products and solutions, and Washington Gas is presenting to North American utility operations managers on new safety devices to protect property and people—including first responders—in the event of a fire, natural disaster.

The presentation focuses on advances in gas safety for use in IP and LP natural gas residential and commercial metering installations. The devices covered include:

• Thermally Activated Shutoffs (TAS)
• Excess Flow Valves (EFVs)

Wally Armstrong, partner and owner of TECO Americas, and Adam Stickl, Production Engineer, Corporate Engineering, Washington Gas Light Co. will discuss the evolution, testing, and implementation of these devices to improve gas safety.

 

The presentation is one of the instructional presentations given at the AGA Operations Conference In Nashville TN, on May 2, 2019, at 11:40 am Central Time.
